Seagry Tobias (Toby) is by the outstanding sire Totilas. He is a jet black gelding with a white star. I expect him to be 16.0hh when fully grown. He has excellent conformation, a wonderful temperament and lovely expressive paces. He was been backed in the summer of 2015 and has been brought back into work this Spring of 2016. He was truly amazing to back, learned super fast and never showed one moment of resistance. He is really a 'superstar' in the making. His sire (Totilas) needs no introduction. He has been the World Champion and multiple world record holder. The very few foals/youngstock to go to market have fetched huge sums. To date few have been sold which have come from currently competing dressage mares. His dam is competing at Small Tour level and is still only 9 yrs old. She was a Badminton Young Dressage horse finalist in 2010 and again in 2011. She was also a Shearwater finalist in 2011. To date she has gained 340 BD points from 82 outings. In her 45 most recent point scoring outings she has come first 21 times and second 9 times. In the UK there were only 15 successful Totilas coverings in 2011 and only 2 embryo transfers. This young horse is unique and has enormous potential. Toby is believed to be the only embryo transfer foal born in mainland UK in 2012.
'Toby' has a head the image of his father. He is jet black with a white star and one white foot. He is proud, bold, strong and has a stunning uphill conformation.
Toby was awarded an Oldenburg Foal Premium and went to Catherston for the BEF Futurity where he scored 8.93 just missing the top Elite rating by 0.07%. He scored 9.25 by the vet, 9.25 for his trot, 9.0 for athleticism, 8.83 for paces and 8.58 for frame. He was the highest placed Dressage foal and the 4th highest score out of a program of 67 entries. He is simply amazing!
